It’s always a pleasure to welcome a new member of the team into the fold at Stringers - especially if they have a life-long passion for beer.
So we’re super pleased to have Stuart Smith on board. He’s a real ale aficionado - but not only that, he’s a decent chap too.
Stuart will be trained in the art of brewing top ales by our superstar head brewer Jon Kyme. When he is not working away at Stringers HQ earning his brewing stripes, Stuart will be working in his other role as Business Support Manager.
That means he will be out and about ensuring all of our customers are looked after - happy pub landlords make happy Stringers bosses.
It has been amazing to see how the network of pubs which now have one or a selection of Stringers beers on tap has grown, both in number and also in geographical spread.
It’s no secret that the pub industry has suffered in some area over the years, with a record number closing every week.
That brings a tear to the eye here at Stringers HQ, because beer is our life - and therefore pubs play a pretty big part too.
But what we find is the most successful pubs we deal with have a great offering; a decent selection of drinks, good home cooked food - and of course some great real ales.
Stuart will be a contact point out on the road for all of Stringers customers.
On joining the team, he said: “I have found my calling in life - the perfect job which will allow me to combine making a living with a passion of mine - real ale.
“I have already started to learn some of the basics from Jon and can't think of a better person to be teaching me.
“Life out on the road is great too. Meeting our valuable customers, talking beer with them and ensuring their pumps never run dry when it comes to Stringers ale is great fun and very rewarding”
